Charles Berrouet State Farm is seeking a service-driven Customer Retention Specialist who thrives on helping customers, building long-term relationships, and delivering a high-quality service experience. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, communicates clearly, and takes pride in being a trusted resource for clients.

While this position is primarily service-focused, success in this role also includes the ability to identify opportunities within the existing book of business and pivot conversations into in-book sales when appropriate.

We are a high-performing agency with strong production goals, and we’re looking for someone who can contribute to both customer satisfaction and agency growth.

Licensing Requirement

• Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses preferred
 • If not currently licensed, you must be willing to obtain licensing (full agency support provided)
 • Licensing is required as part of your onboarding and long-term success in this role

Role Overview

As a Customer Retention Specialist, you will work closely with existing customers to manage renewals, policy updates, and service needs while ensuring they have the right coverage in place. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, improving retention, and supporting agency growth through thoughtful coverage conversations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service and support to existing customers

Manage policy renewals, updates, billing questions, and coverage inquiries

Assist customers through the claims process and follow up as needed

Review accounts to ensure coverage remains accurate and complete

Identify opportunities to strengthen coverage and pivot into in-book sales

Build strong relationships that drive retention and referrals

Maintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions

Collaborate with team members to meet service and production goals

Strong service mindset with excellent relationship-building skills

Ability to listen first, guide customers, and recommend solutions when appropriate

Comfortable transitioning from service conversations into sales opportunities

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills

Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

Prior customer service or account management experience preferred

Insurance or State Farm experience a plus but not required
